1. GENERIC INFORMATION

The organizing committee of the 8th European Conference on Underwater Acoustics (ECUA’06) welcomes all organizations desiring to sponsor the event. To our knowledge this is an unique opportunity to penetrate in the – still incipient – portuguese market and most importantly, to see and to be seen at this European and world ocean technology forum.
The ECUA organization was unable to arrange for exhibition space during the conference but there are a number of other opportunities for sponsoring that can substantially contribute to the spread of the name, brand and company information at various moments throughout the conference.

2. SPONSORING OPPORTUNITIES

2.1 Main sponsor
The main sponsor is a company or organization that desires to associate its name to the event. The sponsor’s name will be cited at various moments throughout the conference and related events and in particular:

• mentioning on all printed matters
• mentioning on the website
• mentioning in the programme
• mentioning on the sponsor-board
• including a flyer in the conference bag
• 2 tickets to the conference (including social activities)
• an add in the proceedings to promote the company
• company logo outside the conference bag

2.2 Sponsor
The sponsor sees his name cited at selected moments of the conference and in particular:

• mentioning on all printed matters
• mentioning on the website
• mentioning in the programme
• mentioning on the sponsor-board
• including a flyer in the conference bag

2.3 Supporter

• mentioning on the website
• mentioning on the sponsor-board
• mentioning in the programme

2.4 Opening/ Banquet
The sponsor selects the opening reception or the conference banquet to set out spot information of his company or organization.

• Company name and logo are made clearly visible at the opening ceremony/banquet
• 5 free tickets to the opening reception/conference banquet
• Name of sponsor mentioned during speech

2.5 Promotion material in congress bag
The sponsor chooses to include company information on the attendees bag.

• documentation of your company
• notepad with mentioning of company name and/or logo
• pen with mentioning of company name and/or logo
• little present

The number of flyers and little presents is limited to one per bag per sponsor
and subject to limitations in total number. Also there should be only one pen per bag. Little presents, pens and flyers are to be furnished by the company and subject to approval by the organisation (for example, regarding sizes, presentation, etc...). Bags and notepads are furnished by ECUA organization with the ECUA logo while additional logos/information can be added at sponsor wish.

2.6 Advertisement in the programme
It is also possible to include pages of advertisement in the Conference programme either as additional pages at the end of the programme or on the front/back covers.
Cost varies with the placement of the insert, the surface occupied (half/one page) and whether it is in colour or black and white.

2.8 Contract handling and other conditions

Please fill the ECUA Sponsor Form ( versão em português ) with your choice of sponsoring options and send it to us by letter, fax (+351-289-864258) or email (secretariat@ecua2006.org).
Note that some sponsoring options can be cumulated.
Sponsoring fees are payable with credit card, or through bank wire transfer using the bank information indicated in the “ECUA Sponsor Form”.
Several sponsoring options involve sending some material for advertisement like company logos, flyers, pens, little presents, etc. The relevant information to be displayed in the website should reach the ECUA secretariat as soon as the sponsoring is accepted. Other material involved in printed matters to be displayed or distributed during the Conference should reach the secretariat at least three months before the event. Little presents, pens and flyers to be included in the bags should be sent to ECUA not later than one month before the event.
